The main direction of production of the Kuzminets brick plant (TM “KERATERM”) is the manufacture of ceramic blocks under the registered trademark KERATERM®. This product, due to its high physical and mechanical characteristics, is very popular among private developers and large construction organizations. KERATERM® is a modern high-tech wall building material made in the form of large-sized porous ceramic blocks. Along with the advantages of modern bricks, KERATERM® ceramic blocks have their own advantages, namely: low thermal conductivity, ease of masonry work, lower construction costs.
“Warm ceramics” is very popular in many European countries, but in the post-Soviet space, until recently, it was not available because of the very high price. To fill this gap, in 2008 the Kuzminets brick factory began mass production of ceramic blocks using the new KERATERM® technology. Currently, the plant produces ceramic porous blocks with a volume of more than 130 million pieces per year. Kuzminets brick factory has at its disposal modern high-tech imported equipment, staffed by highly qualified personnel, uses high-quality environmentally friendly raw materials.
Strict quality control of products at all stages of production, availability of all necessary certificates, own extraction and preparation of raw materials allows us to provide a high level of finished products of the KERATERM® trademark, which is in no way inferior to imported counterparts, but noticeably different in price.
The ceramic block TM KERATERM® is made from local clays of two components with the addition of sawdust as porous additives. The pounded and crushed charge is aged in the charge store for at least 7 days, then it enters a special vacuum press manufactured by Verdes (Spain), which gives the necessary geometric dimensions and shape to the finished product. Freshly formed blocks are placed in drying chambers, and after drying they are heat treated in a tunnel kiln at high (1000 °C) temperatures.
After cooling, KERATERM® thermoblocks are packed in a special shrink film (200 microns thick) and delivered to the finished product warehouse for subsequent shipment to the consumer.
Consider the advantages of KERATERM® blocks:
Profitability. Due to the high degree of hollowness (50%), KERATERM® ceramic blocks have a low specific weight, which does not require additional involvement of special construction equipment during loading and unloading and installation work. In addition, due to the small specific gravity, the wall built from these blocks exerts a lower load on the foundation of the building, which makes it possible to reduce the cost of building the foundation by almost half. Due to its large overall dimensions, additional savings are achieved by reducing the amount of masonry mortar consumed (by more than 2 times).
Construction speed. KERATERM® ceramic blocks have large overall dimensions (more than 10 times the size of a standard brick), which allows you to significantly increase the speed (up to 8 times) of construction work without compromising the quality of the masonry. KERATERM® ceramic blocks are excellent for machining (easily drilled, sawn and milled), which also increases the speed of masonry work.
Ease of finishing work. Due to the correct geometric shape and ideal front surface, KERATERM® ceramic blocks are simple and convenient for finishing and plastering work. In addition, plaster fits perfectly on the rough surface of the blocks, which allows you to perform finishing work at a high speed, while saving a significant amount of finishing mortar.
The quality of the masonry. When building walls using TM KERATERM® ceramic blocks, the number of horizontal seams is reduced, and due to the special tongue-and-groove design of ceramic blocks, there are no vertical seams in the masonry at all. Due to this, shrinkage cracks and cracks in the plaster practically do not appear in the walls erected from KERATERM® ceramic blocks.
Durability. Ceramic blocks KERATERM® in terms of resistance to external factors and strength are in no way inferior to conventional bricks. Unlike aerated concrete and foam concrete blocks, ceramic blocks are able to withstand heavy loads and at the same time are not afraid of temperature changes or moisture. Houses built from KERATERM® ceramic blocks have a service life of more than 100 years, are able to effectively withstand any vagaries of nature without losing their attractive appearance and reliability.
Microclimate. Houses made of KERATERM® ceramic blocks provide optimal moisture exchange indoors (vapor permeability – 0.14 m2/m•h•Pa), which allows creating comfortable conditions for human habitation, providing an ideal temperature and humidity balance.
Frost resistance. KERATERM® ceramic blocks have increased frost resistance (F-25), which allows using this wall material in any climatic zones.
Sound and heat insulation. Due to their hollow structure, KERATERM® ceramic blocks have high soundproofing (55.0 dB) and heat-insulating (thermal conductivity coefficient – 0.14 W/m•K) characteristics, which does not require additional costs for sound and heat insulation of walls.
Fire safety. Products of the KERATERM® trademark are fireproof. When exposed to high temperatures, ceramic blocks do not emit harmful substances and toxins.
Environmental friendliness. KERATERM® blocks are made exclusively from environmentally friendly materials. They are completely harmless to human health. During operation, KERATERM® blocks do not emit harmful substances. Ceramic blocks KERATERM® of the Kuzminets brick factory are a reliable, economical, durable, environmentally friendly building material for the construction of cottage-type houses, high-rise buildings, as well as buildings for various industrial purposes.
Happy building everyone!
