Facade brickwork effect.
Isn’t it amazing that there are so many options for using plain rectangular bricks in combination with different bricklaying techniques? Depending on the location of the bricks in the masonry, various patterns are formed: “Path”, “Block” or “Cross”, the following are just a few examples.
Given that you can vary the thickness and color of the seam, you can build a truly unique facade.
“Track”
All layers consist of the long sides of a brick, which are offset in each row by half a brick (medium joint), or a quarter of a brick (monotonic joint).
“Block”
Regular alternation of long and short sides of the brick; joints are vertically above each other.
“Cross”
Long and short sides alternate in the same way as in the “Block connection”. The joints of every second row are shifted by half a brick, this gives the characteristic appearance of a cross.
“Gothic”
Long and short sides alternate regularly in each row. The joints of each second row lie on top of each other, in each first row they are offset by half the short side of the brick.
“Brandenburgian”
Two long and one short sides replace each other alternately in each row. The joints are vertically on top of each other every two rows. Connection
“Savage”
The name alludes to the irregular change of long and short.
